When I'm reading to my children, I feel like a really good mom. It's one thing that looks the way I pictured it would. We find a comfy sitting spot. We move in close. We forget about other things. I love children's books for their endearing characters, their colorful illustrations, humor, and life lessons. They're full of facts I had forgotten or never knew.
